Are there any traces of the work of Catholic missionaries in Milwaukee?

You could say that the archdiocese of Milwaukee, (it's Catholic schools, hospitals, etc.) is the product of the early missionaries' work. Many of these places were built and staffed by groups of young nuns, some of them barely out of their teens, who came from Europe not knowing the language or the culture and having very little money to work with.

You'll find traces everywhere, in the eyes of mentally scarred children who the Priest couldn't keep his hands off of. Gotta love those Catholics. They must not have known when Jesus said, suffer little children to come unto me, that's not what he was talking about.
